Introuduction

My name is Kaleigh Ivy.  I am an Elementary Education major, and I am endorsing in science.  Science is always a subject that I have really enjoyed and I am very excited about getting into my very own classroom where I can make a real difference in students life just like my teachers did when I was younger.  I am a transfer from the campus in Hattiesburg, and it is definitely a major change in culture, I guess you would say it is a lot more relaxed here on the coast, which is a plus!  I have always wanted to become a teacher all throughout my high school career, I knew exactly what I wanted to go to college for.  With the help of a few mishaps and obstacles I am now here today and enthusiastic about learning how to become a professional educator.  It would be an absolute dream of mine to complete my masters and work in administration.  However, that is up to how well these next two years treat myself.  I really feel like I would make a great teacher because I enjoy the creativity and opportunities that you can use an educator.  I really feel that a good teacher comes from someone who is enthusiastic about their job, because if you are enthusiastic about it then the students will be too.  A teacher who absolutely hates math, and hates teaching math, will most definitely pass that trait onto the students.  I am very confident in using technology in the classroom, I have used it in my classroom as a student growing up throughout high school.  However, technology is constantly changing so I am sure to learn something new in this class to pass on in my professional teaching career.
